1987年生まれ。東京大学大学院総合文化研究科准教授。ベルリン・フンボルト大学哲学科博士課程修了。博士(哲学)。 専門は経済思想、社会思想。Karl Marx’s Ecosocialism:Capital, Nature, and the Unfinished Critique of Political Economy（邦訳『大洪水の前に』角川ソフィア文庫）によって権威ある「ドイッチャー記念賞」を日本人初、歴代最年少で受賞。同書は世界９カ国で翻訳刊行されている。日本国内では、晩期マルクスをめぐる先駆的な研究によって「日本学術振興会賞」受賞。近刊は、発売即15万部突破の『ゼロからの『資本論』』（NHK新書）、『ぼくはウーバーで捻挫し、山でシカと闘い、水俣で泣いた』（KADOKAWA）。『人新世の「資本論」』（集英社新書）で「新書大賞2021」を受賞。
Born in 1987. He is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo. He completed his doctoral program at the Department of Philosophy at Humboldt University of Berlin. He is a doctor (philosophy). His specialty is economic thought and social thought. He became the first Japanese and the youngest person in history to receive the prestigious Deutscher Memorial Award for Karl Marx’s Ecosocialism: Capital, Nature, and the Unfinished Critique of Political Economy (Japanese translation of Before the Flood, Kadokawa Sophia Bunko). The book has been translated and published in nine countries around the world. In Japan, he received the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Award for his pioneering research on the late Marx. His recent publications include “Das Kapital” (NHK Shinsho), which sold over 150,000 copies immediately after its release, and “I sprained my spine in an Uber, fought a deer in the mountains, and cried in Minamata” (KADOKAWA). Received the 2021 Shinsho Award for “Capital” in the Anthropocene (Shueisha Shinsho).
